A wedding ice cream van, reimagined
Traditional wedding ice cream van hire is lovely — but if you want your day to feel a little different, our vintage Italian tuk-tuk is a stylish, modern alternative. Compact enough for most wedding venues, indoors or out, and every bit as delicious.
It works like a self-serve ice cream bar on wheels: guests grab a tub, pull the handle for their own soft-serve, then load it up with toppings. It's a fun, interactive moment that fits beautifully between the ceremony and the evening reception.

Wedding ice cream questions
When is the best time to serve ice cream at a wedding?
The most popular slots are the lull between the wedding breakfast and the evening, while photos are being taken and the room is turned around, or later in the evening alongside the evening food. On hot summer days a drinks-reception slot also works well. Our two-hour service keeps things flowing without clashing with speeches or the first dance.
How many wedding guests can the Ice Cream Tuk serve?
The machine makes about two servings a minute, so a two-hour service covers roughly 200–240 servings. That's enough for most weddings, with room for plenty of guests to go back for seconds. For bigger weddings, or if you want the tuk out for day and evening guests, add extra serve time at £100 an hour.
How far in advance should we book ice cream for our wedding?
As soon as you have your venue and date. We only have one tuk-tuk, so each date can only be booked once, and summer Saturdays go first. We're already taking bookings for 2027 and 2028.
Can the tuk-tuk come inside our wedding venue?
Usually, yes. The tuk fits through standard double doors, so we often serve inside barns, halls and converted buildings. It can't go up steps or through tight gaps, so tell us about the route when you book and we'll check it with you and your venue.
Can we personalise the ice cream for our wedding?
Yes. Popular extras are personalised tub stickers, printed wafer discs with your names or date, waffle cones and a custom neon sign made for your day. Prices for each are listed on our pricing page.
Is there a vegan or dairy-free option?
Yes, we can switch to a vegan-only mix on request so every guest can join in. Several toppings contain common allergens such as milk and gluten, so let us know about any dietary needs when you book and we'll talk you through the options.

I'm so happy we found the ice cream tuk! I really wanted icecream for our wedding. Someone else had let me down about 6 weeks out and I contacted the team and they were so lovely and helpful and reassuring and organised. We got married at left bank in leeds and when the tuk tuk drove into the building with no warning our guests were genuinely amazed! Serving worked really well and the icecream itself was delicious. Massive hit and definitely one of the highlights of our day.

We hired Ice Cream Tuk for our recent wedding, the ice cream went down a treat with both younger and older guests alike who enjoyed the novelty of self serve and adding their own creation of toppings. Made an initial call to chat about what branding we needed and found them to be super helpful and accommodating, a order form was sent over which was easy to fill in and navigate.
