Who we are

What we collect and why

Enquiries and bookings. When you check a date or book through our online booking form, we collect your name, contact details, event date, venue and any details you add. We use them to reply to you, quote, take your booking and deliver it. The legal basis is taking steps towards, and performing, a contract with you.

Emails. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can answer you and refer back to it for your booking.

Payments. We're cashless. Payments are made by bank transfer, and we keep the records we're legally required to for accounting.

Photos at events. Our booking terms explain when we may photograph our equipment at your event. Tell us before your event if you'd rather we didn't.

Cookies on this website

We use the Google tag (Google Ads) to understand which adverts bring people to the site and whether they go on to enquire. It only sets cookies if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, Google receives no cookies from us. It may still receive basic, cookieless signals such as the fact that a page was viewed.

We also remember your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We use trusted providers to run the business: website and booking-system hosting, email, and Google for advertising measurement (only with your consent). They process data on our behalf and under our instructions. We'll also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry or booking, and then for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records. Enquiries that don't become bookings are deleted when they're no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent for cookies at any time. Email bookings@icecreamtuk.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
