Wedding ice cream ideas your guests will remember

A personalised ice cream tub and printed wafer in front of the tuk-tuk

A great ice cream moment is more than a dessert. It's a photo, a talking point and a reason for guests to wander outside. Here are the ideas that work best at the weddings we serve.

Make it personal

  • Personalised tub stickers with your names, initials or date.
  • Printed wafer discs pressed into each serving, a small detail that shows up in photos.
  • A custom neon sign made to order for your day, a backdrop for photos of the tuk.
  • Waffle cones alongside the tubs for guests who want the full seaside experience.

Build a toppings bar

The toppings are where guests get creative. We carry Cadbury Flakes, Kit Kat, Oreo and Biscoff pieces, mini Smarties, fudge, marshmallows, sprinkles and three sauces. One couple asked us to add their favourite sweets to the tuk, which went down a treat. If you'd like something specific, ask us first, because we can only serve items we've approved for insurance reasons.

Pair it with the evening food

Pizza and ice cream is a combination guests talk about. It works because the evening crowd is ready for something sweet after something savoury. Burger vans, hog roasts and grazing tables all pair well too.

Plan a photo moment

Some of our favourite wedding photos are of couples pulling their own soft-serve, or sitting in the driver's seat of the tuk. Tell your photographer when the ice cream is on so they can catch it. If you want the tuk in place early for portraits, add a little idle time.

Ice cream instead of dessert (or even the cake)

If you love the idea but the budget is tight, consider replacing a plated dessert with ice cream. It gets guests up after speeches, it suits every age, and a vegan-only mix is available on request so nobody misses out.

Some couples go further and skip the wedding cake altogether, or keep a small cutting cake for the photo and let the tuk do the real work. Soft-serve with a toppings bar feeds a crowd quickly, and nobody is left with slabs of cake to take home.
