Cleaning routines
We go to great lengths to make sure our equipment is clean. We’ve designed our tuktuk in a specific way which allows us to take the whole back serving unit out to deep clean and maintain things. We are proud clean freaks.
Before your event
We wash through the ice cream machine with warm soapy water, before a clear water rinse. It is then filled with a sterilising solution to completely clean it before being rinsed through again - this happens either immediately before we set off for your event, or in the preceding 24 hours as a minimum.
Everything is checked and sealed before being transported and set up at your event/venue. We also anti-bacterial spray and clean all surfaces and utensils used.
During your event
We keep a close eye on everything to make sure guests are using things in a clean and safe way during your designated ice cream cart hire times. If any utensils are dropped or used in a way that we deem to need action taken, we have warm water on board the tuktuk to clean it - or we will replace. We will also conduct regular cleaning of surfaces.
After your event
We rinse through the machine to clear excess product and dispose of this until we have clear water pumping through the machine. All parts are taken apart and further cleaned to ensure it is in a good condition to be stored.
All utensils are also washed and we clean toppings jars and throw away any stock that may expire before the next event, or that has been spoiled. Surfaces are also cleaned thoroughly with anti-bacterial spray and we store everything safely in our unit.
